  1. Swing: Damian Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in a 3-team trade with the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers. After requesting a trade from the Blazers on July 1st after 11 years as a Blazer and just one appearance in the conference finals. Lillard was looking for a new team to get a ring, and the Blazers found a home in the Bucks to pair with superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. This instantly makes the favorites for the 23-24 champions.

  2. Miss: Denver Broncos came into week 3 against the Dolphins and gave one of the worst defensive performances from the last decade, allowing the 3rd most points ever in a game with 70 points. The defense allowed over 700 yards to Tua and the Dolphins. Tua Tagovalioa had over 300 yards passing, and Tyreek Hil had 9 catches for 157 yards and a TD. The Running backs of Raheem Mostert and De'Von Achane combined for 285 rushing yards and 5 TD. Dolphins had a chance to break a record for most points with a field goal but decided to kneel instead. After the game, Tua said, "They decided to kneel because they don't want to humiliate teams." As they were up 70 points, the Dolphins were already humilating the Broncos. For a team bringing in Sean Payton out of retirement to help after a horrible season of Russel Wilson, this was a pathetic performance and a horrible start to this new era of the Broncos.

  3. Swing: Ronald Acuna achieved 40 HR and 70 stolen bases, which is te first time ever in MLB history, and puts Acuna in his own category. Now add that to with a .336 batting average with a 1.011 OPS and 104 Runs Batted in, plus a .414 OBP. It seems that he is the favorite for the National League MVP, as it was debatable over a month ago if it was him or Mookie Betts would be the favorite to win it but Acuna's September performance to achieve of 40/70 made him the official favorite.

  4. Miss: The Dallas Cowboys first 2 weeks were on a roll outscoring the Giants and Jets 70-10 and looking like an elite team with the best defense in football, then luck went the other way for them with Torn ACL for Trevon Diggs, which came on a non-contact play in practice and would be a huge blow to their defense, which was looking like it was best in football. Then came the game against Arizona Cardinals, who blew leads to the Commanders and Giants. They were down the whole time in the game and then down 28-16 and with a chance to make it a one-score game, Dak threw an INT in the endzone, and is now a team that looked like Superbowl contender still looking like the Cowboys of old.

  5. Swing: Aaron Judge's injury in June at Dodgers Stadium cost him to miss about 2 months and hurt the Yankees season as he is the catalyst for the offense, the year after breaking the AL HR single-season record, Judge re-signed for 9 years/300 Mill and was looking for a repeat of 2022. It was looking like that was gonna happen until that injury. Now we fast forward to these past 4 days, where he hit a 3 hr game and 5 hr in the last 4 games, both of which came in a multi-homer game that put him on pace for 58 HR in 162 games. It shows that if Judge was healthy, he would have been in the MVP conversation if there was padding by the right field of Dodgers stadium.
