The Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 103-94 in what was a close game than it made out to be. The Nuggets dominated the first 3 quarters anda massive reason behind that would be playing their offense through the 2 time MVP in Nikola Jokic.
Jokic vision was the biggest reason they would get out to such a huge lead out the gate, he would find Aaron Gordon cutting to the hoop like 3 times and pass out of nowhere and Jokic would have 10 assists by halftime and 14 together and also would score 27 points. They would find better shots at the rim and shoot better from 3 because the players like MPJ and Jamal Murray are better shooters than what the Heat have.
One of the more prominent reasons why the Heat lost this game was what I would think would be their downfall which would be relying on their role player as three-point shooters. Caleb Martin/Max Strus and Duncan Robinson combined 2/16 from three. Jimmy Butler scoring 13 points did not help the Heat and having Bam scoring 25 points on 26 shots was that the Nuggets would take that over Jimmy having a huge scoring game that he has been having in the playoffs.
While Jokic was putting out passes, the PG Jamal Murray was doing his thing he has been doing all playoffs scoring 26 points which has shown to put him as one of the best PGs in the NBA. The Nuggets outmatched them all game, the Heat tried to come back but it was too late and beat 103-94. They dominated the ball from 3 and held the heat 33% from three and it looks like they will sweep them with how each team is set up.
