Yesterday's game between the Yankees and the Rays went into extras and ended with a Yankees win by a score of 5-4.

The game started as a pitching duel as Willi Warren went 6 innings of 1-run ball while striking out four batters. On the Rays' pitching side, Zach went 5 innings of shutout ball but walked 4 batters. The game stayed

1-0 until the bottom of the 8th inning, when the game turned into chaos.

Trent Grisham tied the game with his 18th home run of the season, then Ben Rice and Cody Bellinger hit back-to-back singles, which set up Stanton to hit a blooper to center field to give the Yankees the lead.

The Rays responded against a struggling Devin Williams, as Josh Lowe hit a 2-run homer to regain the lead. In the bottom of the 9th, Anthony Volpe, who was struggling for a while and leads baseball with the most errors, hit a game-tying home run, though the big talking point was Austin Wells getting out in a rundown with 2 outs, as he didn't know how many outs there were.

The game went to extras, where the ghost runner rule caused more chaos, as with the bases loaded, Jason Dominguez saved a few runs by making a leaping catch at the left field wall. Cody Bellinger tied the game with a triple, as he's been stepping up in Aaron Judge's absence.

Then in the 11th, Tim Hill shut down the Rays from scoring, and newly traded Ryan McMahon had his first big moment as he hit a big tracking single for a walk-off. The Yankees won 5-4, improving to a 2-1 series and a 59-49 record, 4 games off the division lead from the Blue Jays. Meanwhile, the Rays dropped to a 54-55 record.

The Yankees and Rays face off at 1:05 P.M. in the series finale.
