Game 1: Yankees win 2-1 in 13 innings by a Jose Trevino RBI Single. The scoring would start with a Torres home-run in the 4th, then Jason Heyward would tie it with a homer in the 6th. Both teams would go a combined 0 for 34 in runners in scoring position.

Luis Severino started the game and pitched a great game as every Yankees starters have done this season, pitching 6 innings with 10 strikeouts. Giving up 1 run on 7 hits and 1 walk. The bullpen would shut-out the Cubs for 7 innings to keep the Yankees in the game.

Game 2: Yankees win 8-0 with five Yankees having solo homers including Judge who would have 2 solo-shots and increase his MLB best 24th home-run. Jose Trevino would have a homer, making a great case to be the consistent starting catcher instead of platooning with Kyle Higashioka. Rizzo would continue his great season with his 15th homer of the season. Stanton would demolish a home-run for 119 MPH off the bat and Gleyber Torres would go back to back with Stanton, continuing Torres bounce-back season after only having 9 homers in 2021.

The pitching was exceptional as always, with Jordan Montgomery going 7 shut-out innings, only allowing 5 hits and striking out 5 batters. Lowering his ERA to 2.70.

Game 3: This game was all about the Yankees offense and Matt Carpenter. They won 18-4 vs the Cubs, and a-lot of the production came from Matt carpenter, who had 2 homers and 7 rbi's. The scoring started with a Ian Happ Homer, but yankees responded with 5 run innings, including a 2 run double by Joey Gallo. gallo has been getting more hits and homers of lately and can finally help the Yankees lineup. Another player that would get out of a slump is Kyle Higashioka, who would get two home-runs and one of those off a 35mph pitch by position player of the Cubs.

The pitching would be great s always as Tailion would pitch 5 innings and would allow 3 runs, but the feel good story was Manny Banuelos, who was a top prospect in 2011, part of the Killer Bees. He got his first career save, pitching 3 innings and striking out 4 for his save.

The Yankees look like the best team in baseball and face the Rays and Astros next, so they have a tough schedule coming up. With how the pitching and hitting is performing, they cam win series against them with no problem.
